Coombe Advisors Limited was founded in 2011 by Ausaf Abbas, who had
a 25 year career with Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in
increasingly senior management positions across investment banking
and private wealth management. With his broad international
experience, including 13 years living and working in Hong Kong,
India, Singapore and Japan, combined with an eclectic mix of
personal and business interests, Ausaf established Coombe Advisors
to offer the benefit of his many years' of experience in advisory
and consultancy activities.
Ausaf offers objective and impartial advice and intervention through
a calm and reflective approach to clients and associates. He assists
stakeholders in evaluating their strategic challenges and options,
through to advising management on executing business and financial
plans. Significant assignments have included advising a £2.5 billion
family office on their entire investment structure and strategy,
advising the board of a leading SaaS company on its sale to a major
Private Equity firm, acting as an Expert Witness in several
high-profile legal cases and a number of Non-Executive Director
roles.

Ausaf has been a Trustee since January 2008 and now chairs
the Finance Committee. SEO is a charitable organisation
which equips talented school and university students from
BAME backgrounds to launch successful professional careers
in investment banking, law, strategy consulting and
technology. As candidates build their experience, they share
their knowledge with the next generation.

Ausaf invested in this company and joined the board. The company intended to provide a platform to connect users with shared life experiences. Ausaf resigned from the board in 2015, and the company liquidated in 2020.
Ausaf served as a NED for nine years. From 2018 he chaired
both the Audit & Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee
of the Company. Multrees was established in 2011 to bring a
high-quality service offering to the independent global
custody, investment administration and consolidated
reporting services for wealth managers and private
investment offices. Since then, Multrees has built a
reputation for offering a flexible and service-driven client
and customer experience.

Ausaf was appointed a Director of Capitas (DIFC), a Dubai based specialized international real estate and investment advisory firm. Capitas worked with a select network of private and institutional capital partners in the areas of real estate acquisition, development management, asset management advisory, and strategic cross-border transactions.
In addition to being a Trustee, Ausaf was also a member of
the Finance Committee. Tara Arts was Britain’s first Asian
theatre company and today operates from an award-winning
dedicated theatre in South West London. Tara Theatre is home
to world classics, new plays and plays for children, all
produced by established and emerging artists.

UHNW Individuals
Ausaf works with a small number of family offices and individual clients to provide wealth management services. His knowledge and experience of the private wealth management sector are used to assist clients select the most appropriate service providers for their needs. Ausaf then helps monitor and manage the performance of wealth managers to ensure results are in line with his clients’ objectives.

Ausaf has been a member of GPFO for around a decade and
joined the Advisory Board in May 2018. GPFO serves the
family office community by providing salient and impartial
information on areas such as investments, philanthropy,
family governance, tax, legal and estate management.

Ausaf has been working as an Expert Witness since early 2018
and has been involved in several cases since then, including
giving evidence in the High Court. Acting as an Expert
Witness involves consideration of all the evidence to be
presented at trial and then advising the Court on areas
where fault lies and where liability rests. A report is
provided to the court and where necessary, the expert is
called to give evidence under oath.

revenue-based financing. Outfund uses a company’s monthly
revenue to provide up-front capital to support marketing and
inventory, which is repaid from future sales to provide fast

company has patented a new device which provides women with

Shift is a moving company, which uses a set of algorithms to
allow customers to move things anywhere in the UK. Shift
focuses on using the excess downtime of thousands of
delivery drivers to get packages delivered for less. Ausaf
is an investor in the Convertible Loan Note issued by the

Koyo makes personal loans to individuals online using Open
Banking, rather than old fashioned credit checks, to assess
